Bad news

Got the latest results yesterday. Doesn´t look too good since it seems that my illness is in an acceleration phase. I´ll know next week if I need chemotherapy or if I´ll get the next dose of donour lymphocytes. Or both.
It´s really difficult to stay positive especially when the weather is really shit thanks the to global warming but I´ll try to do my best. It´s also been ages since I danced the last time and I really miss it a lot. I could do almost anything if I was still healthy and if I could go back to Salwa´s lessons and take workshops like I used to do. Life is so unfair sometimes that it is hard not to become bitter. But I´m working on that one as well :).

DLI phase 1

My battle against leukemia continues after having gone through a bone marrow transplantation 4 years ago. I´m now receiving a therapy called donour lymphocyte infusion or DLI. The purpose is to induce an immunological rejection to beat the disease hell out of my body. I received the first dose of cells last week and now all I can do is to wait. And hope. And try not to catch any bugs because I´m neutropenic meaning that i´m lacking the white cells that normally fight against virus and bacteria. I´ll probably receive first bits of information if the treatment has started to work by the end of this month when they´ll take the next bone marrow aspiration samples. So, keep your fingers crossed!
