My name is Alaina. I am 22 years old and I live in upstate New York. I have recently undergone a kind of purging of all the negative things in my life, including but not limited to people, environments, depression, and dependence (on people, not substances). I have few friends because of various situations from my past, most involving an ex (fucking bastard). I work at a strip club in Clifton Park, which I enjoy immensely. I am actually happy right now, which I don't take for granted. I'm very lucky to have my friends, and I know it. I've been single since early June 2009, and I'm actually enjoying it very much.

So, I spent most of tonight driving around with Anya and Garrett, reminiscing about old Jovell parties. Laughed a lot, and I really grew to miss a lot of those people. Just got a call from Jesse, telling me some shit about Kyle calling around and telling everyone that the Stomps have some kind of hit list, and he's on it, and Jesse's on it, and a lot of other people are on it, and he says he heard about it from me.

Alaina and I may have had a bit of a rocky start, but I'd say the confusion was worth it and I think that she agrees. In all actuality, we are very different people in a lot of ways but we somehow have managed to find this odd common ground that has created an unwaivering understanding of each other between the two of us. Even when we disagree, even when we have disputes, I've never lost my respect for what an intelligent, generous person she is and how much she's been there for me in the past.
She's proven to be more than just a good friend, I consider her one of my best friends at this point. Who else can I say has always brought me chocolate, Cosmopolitan magazines, chick flicks and hours of letting me vent every time I needed a girl around?
