Thanks to the wind storm disrupting tango night at Burning Man, Shawn's 30 b-day became a beautiful thing. Good friend, music, food and cross-dressing! What a way to go 30! Thanks to all!

So, walking aimlessly for hours from one installation work of art to the next, and sound camp, sound camp, hail sound camp...I was contemplating sitting for a moment of rest out in the middle of the wide open spanse of the playa. Then the thought occured to me:

WHAT WOULD DURGY DO?!

And the tale a friend wove of being awoken by flashlights and several strangers leaning over him asking, "Are you okay?" Only for him to assess his suroundings, realize he had fallen asleep WAY out on the Playa (and not really sure how or why), quickly jumped to his feet and anounced that he was, "Fine." And then he walked away from the strangers and headed back to camp.

So when I found myself wanting to take a pause out on the playa, I thought of what Durgy would do...

And I kept walking.

There is no grit in my food, I am sorry to say.
A suit now feels like entirely too much clothing.
I can only sleep 4 hours at a time.
My feet have returned to normal, but my skin is feeling neglected since is no longer lathered in sun block every 2 hours.

I miss the dessert.
