the Packers playoff game is this weekend and we'll be able to stop having these ridiculous stories where the socalled journalist stands outside the stadium and reports of the upcoming excitement. then there was the incredibly overhyped bit of snow we received last night. it's winter in milwaukee: it snows, get over it. there was an interesting story on bbc news about the first man to climb mount everest dying in his late 80's. he was a big adventurous guy who helped to do a lot for the countr... read more

when i began helping at the mental health community group, i told people who were about to leave travel safely. i recognized that my new friends were vulnerable and the little that they may possess may attract some unwanted attention from someone who has even less. i remember being vulnerable in the same way and having my possessions stolen. it's not as though the things were all that valuable and eventually i learned to live without them. but the feeling of being violated remained. it's a fe... read more

i am in a great mood. i felt completely safe, picked up a couple of movies, got a new appointment book and i was completely at ease. the sun was out for a few extra minutes. i saw a show last night about a young man living with asperger's and i understood what he was going through because i had heard about the disorder last semester in class.

I looked at the list of things I am not supposed to be doing and I thought, well, that really limits my options. I am excited that the primary elections have finally started. I mean how many years have these people been running for president? It seems like forever. Well yesterday I went to work to pick up my paycheck and found out that there was no work because we were flooded on Monday. Even though I'm signed up for a certain number of hours per week, I have not actually worked the whole amo... read more
