Sazs, oud, and room for one more instrument?

   Fri, August 10, 2007 - 9:12 AM
Having given the balalaika beast an honest try, and learning that there IS one musical instrument on Earth she can't play, my wife replaced it with an oud. Our daughter took a liking to it, which thrills us greatly, but my wife doesn't get any time with it.

At Pennsic 2007, she took a sazs class, and really likes it. After watching the next class for 20 minutes, I realized I could actually play it. The only problem is, now that we've bought it, I really don't want to give it up and she doesn't get much time with it.

Hey, she has a harp. And a piano. And a French horn. And a djimbe. And 2 ocarinas...

I left out bodhran, riqq, & deff
I was actually in the world's largest kazoo band in college, but gave up the instrument when I realized I could drink and play the darbuka at the same time. Ah, Karslima...

Since I'm not particularly good with any one instrument, I thought I might impress somebody with the sheer number at my disposal.
