Lee is one of the kindest nobles you'll ever meet! He and his family are absolutely wonderful to be around. His daughters are very rad, and I'm glad I could help give them each a peek into the world of video games. Here's a toast to Lee, his family, and hoping that I get to see them all again someday soon!

Lee, Lee, LEEE!
Just gotten to know him better over this year. He's witty, clever and such a gentleman (snicker). I adore his children, which is a strong reflection of how great a man he is. They are such charming girls, and I'm not a fan of most kids. I'm blessed to know him, his children and his lovely wife. August 13, 2006
I actually first met Lee online about ten years ago in a chat room. We chatted for several years before we first met, as the result of his doing me a favor for my children. And we continued to chat for another year before we actually began dating. We've been married for nearly six years, now, and he is still the sweetest man I have ever known. Not only does he take very good care of me and my children, not to mention his own children, but he manages to do so with a smile and a joke and a loving heart. He even learned to fight with a rapier because I wanted to be more involved in the Renaissance Faire, again. Even through all of the last six years of my illnesses and doctors visits and new diagnoses and PhD exams and other assorted crises, he has managed to love me and take care of me and never even think of running away and being free, again. I really can't imagine how I ever got along without him because he is such an essential part of my life, now.

Lee brings his own unique sense of humor to the Ren Faire. As a fellow computer geek we can find common ground on which to discuss various topics...the challenge is how to explain the layers of the OSI model in Elizabethan!

"All it takes for evil to flourish is for good men to do nothing"
So, my boss decided to play musical vehicles. I spend most of the past year getting the van stocked for nearly any contingency I may run into, and he decides I need to drive the flatbed instead, so the new guy gets the well stocked van. Annoying, but that’s not the point. The point is, when we were originally getting the equipment for the van, we were looking at two different trimmers, one with a straight shaft, and one with a bent shaft. My boss kept leaning towards the bent shaft, and I kep...

Blistering hot, and windy. Really windy. And hot. And DRY. Really dry. Heat and wind in the desert are a good source of static electricity. Plastic is also a good source of static electricity, especially when you rub the right kinds of plastic together, when it's hot and dry. So, my job in Indio today was to install a plastic yard sign. It comes shipped in a protective plastic sleeve. So, do you know what happens when you stand a plastic pole ... read more
So, most nights after faire, we stop at the Del Taco on Azusa Ave on the way home. (We've run into a few of you there.)

Last night was no exception. Stopped, had dinner, got a snack or two, and head for the car. Some guy walking in glances at me (still in costume,) and got really excited! He came over and tried to talk to me, but didn't speak more than a few words of English, but I get that he wants to take a picture with me, so I let him. He keeps asking uninteligible questions, but I... read more
