Notes from deluded people I've fooled

September 27, 2007
Lee is one of the kindest nobles you'll ever meet! He and his family are absolutely wonderful to be around. His daughters are very rad, and I'm glad I could help give them each a peek into the world of video games. Here's a toast to Lee, his family, and hoping that I get to see them all again someday soon!

Lee, Lee, LEEE!

Just gotten to know him better over this year. He's witty, clever and such a gentleman (snicker). I adore his children, which is a strong reflection of how great a man he is. They are such charming girls, and I'm not a fan of most kids.

I'm blessed to know him, his children and his lovely wife.

I actually first met Lee online about ten years ago in a chat room. We chatted for several years before we first met, as the result of his doing me a favor for my children. And we continued to chat for another year before we actually began dating. We've been married for nearly six years, now, and he is still the sweetest man I have ever known. Not only does he take very good care of me and my children, not to mention his own children, but he manages to do so with a smile and a joke and a loving heart. He even learned to fight with a rapier because I wanted to be more involved in the Renaissance Faire, again. Even through all of the last six years of my illnesses and doctors visits and new diagnoses and PhD exams and other assorted crises, he has managed to love me and take care of me and never even think of running away and being free, again. I really can't imagine how I ever got along without him because he is such an essential part of my life, now.

Lee brings his own unique sense of humor to the Ren Faire. As a fellow computer geek we can find common ground on which to discuss various topics...the challenge is how to explain the layers of the OSI model in Elizabethan!

Words to live by

Accomplishing the impossible is routine. Miracles, however, require some lead time.

I fully realize that I have not succeeded in answering all your questions. Indeed, I feel I have not answered any of them completely. The answers I have found only serve to raise a whole new set of questions, which only lead to more problems, some of which we weren’t even aware were problems. To sum it all up, I feel we are just as confused as ever in some ways, but I believe we are confused at a much higher level, and about more important things.

Re: Help retrieve my lost files (in Desktop Support) You've formatted the drive. That pretty much makes any previous files inaccessible. You need a utility that can read files from a drive without the file allocation table, and those are difficult to come by (ok, I have one, but it's buried somewher... read more

Let me see if I understand this correctly…

A vehicle at 15 mpg and 12,000 miles per year uses 800 gallons a year of gasoline.

A vehicle at 25 mpg and 12,000 miles per year uses 480 gallons a year.

So, the average "Cash for Clunkers" transaction will reduce US gasoline consumption by 320 gallons per year.

They claim 700,000 vehicles – so that's 224 million gallons / year.

That equates to a bit over 5 million barrels of oil.

5 million barrels of oil is about ¼ of one day's US ... read more
