Consider this to be my mission statement, as well as a warning of sorts.

I am a passionate, loving, all around decent human being. If you treat me with kindness and respect, I will award you with the same. I am very friendly to those who are open to my affections. As far as I'm concerned, love and friendship should be shared, not hoarded, and I take great pleasure in returning love to those who have loved me. Hugs, kisses, cuddles—there's plenty to go around. However, if you are cold, if you gossip behind my back, if you treat me disrespectfully, I will greet you with indifference. I don't do well with cliques, nor those who would go against what they think is right so as not to make waves. Free thinking members of society only, please.

More than a few people have told me that I am a lot to deal with. That I'm a fireball. That I'd be hard pressed to find someone who can handle me. Perhaps. I have a strength, an energy, and a pretty wild temper. I tend to work in extremes. But there are so many layers, and I'll let you see them all, if you want to and you ask politely. If you see one side of me, and think that means you know something...try a little harder. I'm full of surprises.

More than a few people have said some other meaner, nastier things about me. Some of it's true, I would never claim to be a saint, but most of it isn't. Well, really, what is truth but a collective perception fueled by biases and insecurities? Please see above paragraph in which disrespect and indifference is mentioned.

The bottom line: I have worked hard, damn hard, to overcome my insecurities and my baggage. I'm finally happy being the beautiful woman that I am, inside and out. So I'm going to do my thing, and share my love, and if that makes someone unhappy or uncomfortable...I'm sorry, but it isn't my problem. I'm doing the best I know how, and I can't please everyone. All I can do is try my hardest to leave a positive imprint on my little corner of the universe, and I intend to do just that.
