Produkt began in 2002 as the collaboration between Boston DJ/Producer MobiusB and Massachusetts live IDM group Hypocycloid. Originally conceived as an art collective Produkt went through many shifts in it's first few years. Live shows alongside Hypocycloid at venues such as the Sugar Shack started the first incarnation of live Produkt working with poet/spoken word frontman Jim Phelps Produkt also performed shows at Evos arts in Lowell.
Mobius and JP also did a full year of monthly video gigs at ManRay in Cambridge for the Sin and Hell nights and were very well received. Additional live video-mixing shows were done for Johara's belly dancing troupe, the Kaleidoscope Cabaret at the Middle East Downstairs and the 2003 Halloween Bash at Evos Arts.
Produkt is now comprised of Mobius and JP and features an ever growing assortment of guest collaborators and performers. Focusing mainly on production of their own work and remixing for other artists, Produkt is beginning to gear to return to live performances in 2006.
