Tell you a bit about myself?

about me
I hold tight to the belief that everyone should be continually bettering themselves and learning new things. (What about your college degree, Johari!?...) Yeah,yeah...it's on my to-do list. I'm getting there.
I sing in various musical groups, my favorite genre being anything earlier than 18th century. Not a big demand for that kind of thing, but it's good stuff if you can get it.
I did sing in the group JUSTICE with some really great musicians. We performed all originals and were preparing to record for our first CD, but I just recently left the band. I miss them and wish them the best!
I homeschool my 3 kids and try to teach them the domestic arts as well. My daughter,8, is autistic and a phenomenal artist. My son,15, has learned to play the guitar and wants to be a musician when he grows up. My little one is 4 and starting school this fall. He's gonna be the spitfire of the bunch, I have a feeling.
I began taking bellydance lessons in 1997 and though I have been on and off with the lessons, the love of the dance has always stayed with me. I now dance and sing with the American Mirage Dance Company and perform with them on occasion. Beautiful dancers, and true kindred spirits, they.
I also teach begginning Appalachian Clogging... (which does NOT mesh well with the bellydance, but is loads of fun) as an enrichment class to homeschooled kids, who know have recently formed the performance group "The Calico Kids". They mostly dance to traditional blugrass and Celtic music, and dress in gingham. Very cute, and sweet kids.
My family makes a trip to Romania every year to work in the orphanages in Bucharest. What beautiful children they are. I wish I could keep them all.
My favorite evening? A supper of provolone cheese, chewy bread, fresh fruit and a glass of merlot, a bubblebath and a biography on the Royal Tudors or Shakespeare...ah, yes... that's bliss.
And obviously, my wonderful and extremely tolerant husband, thinks I am rediculously over-extended. He's right.
