I make garage doors.

After I graduated high school in 1985, I spent the next 8 years floating around the world courtesy of the US Navy. Mostly out of California ports. I think that is where I got my sense of details and go gettiveness.

During this time, I met my darling wife, Dawn. Between us we have 5 kids.

After I was discharged in 1993, we stayed in Cali for the next 11 years, raising our kids, fighting, loving, doing stuff. In 2004 we packed up and moved east to Ohio.

Then we decided to start camping. Dawn and I did so when we were young but never took any of the kids. So, in June of 2004, we attended the very first Scorched Nuts. Figured if you are going to start, start big. We took 3 of our kids. One stayed with the regime. The other 2 did not take to it.

We met a lot of rather brilliant and erratic people, many of whom we call friends. We were hooked and started looking forward to the day we can get to Burning Man.

That fall, we participated in Recycled Rainbow. The rest is history…

Dawn and I served pancakes and coffee to all who made it to our camp. The following year at Scorched Nuts 08 we did the same and had Summer Camp. Crafts, food, drinks for all. Camp Pancake made it’s debut at Recycled Rainbow 08.

Now as we have grown mentally, we are stepping up to plate again. Seems I am now Chief Ranger for RR09. My dearest bride will be manning the gate. Our eldest daughter will be assisting in both the Rangers and the Greeters.
