Reverie

Six am yoga!

That means being awake at 5:30 when the water is glassy, the birds are singing, and the town is quiet. Aaah. I can zip along on my bike on any road I want to get to the studio because I don't have to worry about getting hit by a big ugly car.

Or I can even do yoga in the park, which is what I did today --I spent too much time daydreaming this morning and would have been late to the studio, so I practiced alone at Cedar and Forest. When I was done, I pulled my hood o... read more

I picked up my bicycle today and she is gorgeous. She's a *wee* bit lanky (54 cm) for my relatively, um, compact proportions, but I think we'll get along nicely anyway. Very light and zippy. She needs a name. . . something other than Mizutani Seraph Spree. Although that's a pretty sweet name, I need something shorter. . .

Diana (The Huntress, rawr). No, makes me think of librarians and the deceased princess.

After having suddenly gotten over my irrational yet long-lived fear of BICYCLES, a couple weeks ago I went to the Hub and found me (with much help) a pretty burgundy-colored road bike. I just got a call the other day saying it's all fixed up and ready to go, and I'll finally have time to pick it up today! Yay!

Now I can (clumsily) bike all around town. Whopee!

That's right. Google "Cara Pierson" lately and you will find the Blogging Right up in Second Amendment-protected arms over student opposition to hate speech (which I guess I've become something of a figurehead for).
