about me
I have been happily married for 22years. We have two sons now 21and 18. We also have two English Springer Spaniels that share our interest of hunting. I have a full time job as the Manager of a Warehouse.
I was introduced to bellydancing by a friend at a local community center. I was able to begin at the intermediate level, but I actually took the beginning class at the same time. I was so taken in by the beauty of the dance, the ability to use my creative skills as a seamstress, and just a plain artsy person who dabbles in jewelry, crocheting, needlepoint, crosstitch, painting, stamping, scrapbooking and stenciling. In my first year of dancing I made my costume and performed four numbers, three group and one solo. I knew I was hooked. I did take about one and a half years off to take care of some family issues, but came back to dancing in full swing. I am in two troupes. The first one is Totally Northern Tribal and the second one is Basimah Kamar. I love the comraderie of both troupes and enjoy the differences between tribal in TNT and a mix of dance styles in BK. My current interests are to learn yoga moves and merge them into the tribal fusion style. I think it is a great thing to be able to express oneself in dance and movement.
