Vim ( local favorites » restaurants ) "Dirt-Cheap Thai-Chinese" This is a really good place for really inexpensive Thai/Chinese in the "Thai Town" section of Hollywood. Noodle Planet ( local favorites » restaurants ) "Inexpensive Noodle House Near UCLA" This is a good, inexpensive place to get a bowl of noodles on the way to UCLA. It's in Westwood Village, within walking distance of campus, and offers a range of noodle dishes from various Asian cultures. There's also a good boba place next door.

Oasis ( local favorites » bars / clubs / cafes ) "L.A. Lesbian Night on Tuesdays" This is by far the best lesbian bar scene in L.A. that I've found.
