I believe the brits and folks from OZ use the term that way.

Well, I use my blinkers (turn signals) before I make a turn, because it's the law. It is also very curtious to the other drivers. (I am being silly here). Now, if you mean "blinders" like on a horse, you would have to be stupid to wear them. Folks might look at ya like you just escaped from the looney bin! Now, if you are speaking metaphorically, YES! See with your heart, and not just your mind! The truth IS in us, always has been. We need to clear away the clutter and preconcieved ideas in our hearts and minds so that we may see the truth.

Right now I'm dealing with situations where the onlookers are wearing blinders. I might as well talk to the wall...at least it will listen to me without judgement!
