I just e-met Alex recently in a, ahem, rather interesting circumstance....

At first, I kind of grouped him in with a kind of lump of people in my mind--people that I typically write off in a certain way, even as I smile pretty and act nice to them.

In a very short time, however, I'm finding that he is a complex and fascinating person. I'm glad to know him and looking forward to forging a friendship. And I can't wait to see what is revealed next.

Also re-teaching me a valuable lesson about assumptions...yeah, yeah, knew it all along, but never hurts to be reminded what a shallow bitch I have the potential to be.
