10AM to 7 PM Toad House Reroof – With Sior and Northstar

10 AM to 5 PM Pressure washing with Tim

Potluck Dinner after work

Please Note: Once breakfast is over and dishes are done,

We will be working together on Saturday the 14th from 10am to 5pm , and many smaller projects Friday and Sunday .
We need the help and support of our nearby family !
Plan on bringing food to cook potluck style
Bring your camping gear and work gloves .
A small donation $2-5 per night to the castle fund would be appreciated.
Meals and fire happening friday and saturday eve.

Cerren Ered itself has always served as a place of refuge and
restoration... a place supported on a day to day basis by those who
live here who, in turn, make it possible to open our gates to the
larger community from time to time... It is important that the people
here tend the shrines, maintain the portals & shepherd the Magickal
rhythms which sustain all of us, whether in residence or abroad. It is
equally important that those of you who are part of our community but
do not reside here be included and have the opportunity to gather
together with us in a space of harmony, Magick and celebration.

Almost a year

Almost a year since I left a comfortable home ,(because the neighbors had pit bulls that wouldn't let shithead and I walk down the street ), to move back into a van and reconnect with family, community . I still haven't fully moved into the van or fixed it up like I need to . I have crafting materials and personal memorabilia spread out all over the country AGAIN.
When I left North Carolina , I was heading to Kentucky to say goodbye to Schjaway and then St.Louis to see my kids and parents .I stayed at Eartheart for a while and as it got colder , the lack of warm space and employment , as well as the absurd physco-drama and aggression that was unfolding , caused me to head for Harmony Works in Tenn . A couple months there , and then to a so called "retreat center" in Swannanoa NC which just left me in more pain . I stopped here in January to spend the night and haven't been able to leave yet. Firstly because of a good brothers insistence that I stay and heal , then due to the promise of construction work that I can actually do (for people I know and like ) , and now ...well it's a vortex of good family,beautiful scenery ,magikal happenings , and shithead really likes it here.I am not quite sure what I'm doing here now , there is a phenomena here called "Smokey Mtn. Pagan Standard Time " cause everything slows down to a pace that is comfortable , it's hard to break out of sometimes ...and then I wonder why I would need to !!!
I miss traveling ... but it has been nice to slow down .
I miss my friends and favorite haunts in Asheville ,but not the costs financially and spiritually.
I miss the quiet and BIG sky of the Parmlysville area (Eartheart) , but not the drunkeness or aggression I had to deal with .I still hope to spend time or buy land there in the near future.
I have been threatening to get back to writing and this is my first stab at it in a while . If anyone has a request for a true story I'de like to try that .
Well...when I started this lil piece I was alone at the castle , now Johnathan and Terry are cooking ,two 14yr? old girls chatting, Alarian playing sweet sounds on the guitar ,Sior is reading (a permaculture mag!) a fire is in the hearth , and Maya and Northstar are on the way to join in dinner , I love this place

Winter storage facility

Check it out , thanks to Sloyd , I have a Tent to live in and thanks to Tom Martin , a place to put it ! It's really going to be more of a "storage tent" for crafts and such . I enjoy living in the van and being more mobile . But where I'm parked is a short walk to the spring-hole , the river and my nieghbors . I thought life might get a little rough , with recent moves and such , but the stress level and pace are all that is really changed (for the better) .
Community is growing and evolving here . I hope to be travelin again within a week , with MAJIK KARPET RYDE II ,and a newly revamped kitchen .

Lots of new and exiting stuff to write about ,To much for a sitdown at the library! STILL waiting for that DSL connection to become a reality .
Bluegrass this w/e at Pickett State Park , finally got a break from the heat , and ...at the same time the communication lines around here seamed to open up a little . I hope to write more and more often when the DSL happens . I've been helping Sloyd clean up his shopspace and organize tools , bathing in the river and learning from shithead . I am also collecting venomouse snakes in an effort to save their life .. I'd like to find a place to bring them for research/milking if anyone knows anything ... I'll put it out there . ttfn

re: 4 weeks

Its been hard to think or even write about this , but this mornin I awoke with a BAD attitude , I stood my ground against MY patterns of separateness and behavior ,
I went up to the Yoga deck to write my letter , move the 'puter...,
I saw Dara's note on my space
Hey someone left a sacrificial element on Schjaways alter-space ,And an instrument of manifestation ....Well , ...ahem ... A few minutes later I'm staring at the clothesline , ,....clothespins , and a voice in my head says " go ahead put one one your left nipple " it sounded like schjaway anyway .... just to share another moment ......

To my brother Schjaway ,
You might not be listening , but If I leave it out there , you'll be sure to hear it .
Not everything I have learned from your light and lessons was what you intended to teach me , and for that I am greatfull. I bless you and honor the body of your spirit for a better understanding of the ancient language of the drum , the power of the moon , the reality of insanity,the insanity of illusion , the futility of regret ,the promise of future , the power of manifestation , the ignorance of knowledge without wisdom , the wisdom of innocence , the addiction of ego , the importance of balance , the changes of seasons in the soul , the divinity within and the memory we all have within us of our unity . Thankyou ,I love you , and I look forward to seeing you again my brother.

Pace of Life ...

Days are full here and long , we got a little break from the heat today , proceaded by an awesome thunderstorm and much needed rain last night . While some residents and guests are at Starwood , Garuda Das left today , some of his crew stayed , others left . Usnea,Kym, Elf ,others are doing a fast and cleanse , and well everyone else is tending garden and farm chores . Nice and cool tonight , it's off to the freshly cleaned hottub !

Reflections on Mortality

It's weird to me , to reflect on my own mortality , when a friend 10 yrs younger than me has passed on , and another 40 years older .And then again I just realized how the two were so connected , even though they never met ... till now .

Eartheart Mountain

I have returned to my spiritual home here in the Kentucky Mtns to heal my wounds, better my health and lend support and help to my friends in their hour of need . Much is happining here and just the daily workings of a country life has brought me some peace of mind . As I sit on the computer I hear the bullfrogs , cicadas and hoot owls , here on the yoga deck , I reflect on my beginnings and lessons from this enchanted place . Tommarrow I will be off to the city for a day or two collecting recycled materials to help build here on the farm , but for now , it's off to the hottub for a good soak before bedtime !

Scooby , Chyrl And Baby girl .

Just to put it out there , Scooby called me yesterday , scooby and cheryl had a baby girl at 2:30 pm yesterday , all is well momma and baby are happy and well . 5 lbs. 9 oz. 18 inches . No decision on her name yet , ya gotta love it ! I' hope to visit today . Mission Hospital in Asheville .
