My Testimonials

April 9, 2008
Sauciness, as someone said--yes, that it definitely one of Ron's many endearing traits. No matter how serious a conversation may be-- and he really listens and engages--still, you can feel that sauciness, waiting just belew the surface!

about me
I know more dogs in my neighborhood than people and often carry biscuits even though I don't have a dog. Love swimming in the Pacific. Gray Whale Cove at Devil's Slide is still my favorite beach. You can get an all-over tan through the fog. Driving down to Pescadero for lunch at Duarte's or on to Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk for a ride on the Giant Dipper rollercoaster is my ideal day trip. Walking along side Purissima Creek, shaded by redwoods is the walk I love most. Hanging out at Crissy Field here in my adopted hometown is cool - lots of dogs and kids and kitesurfers - fun!

This is an update. I haven't been out much for the last year. I fractured my right foot last spring 2006, Mom died New Years Eve 2005. I've been depressed and gained weight. My feet won't support me cause the bones are brittle from the diabetes and I'm just too fat). I'm being treated for these things and strive to take things one day at a time.
There is still much joy in my life. house/pet sitting for friends is really great. I stay in touch with friends and family.
I watch a lot of TV, American Idol and Ugly Betty are my favs.

I've fallen out with several friends over the past year, but life goes on.
Still dealing with health woes but enjoy going to kirtan with Courtney, drives with Peg, meetings with Joyce or Andrej, lunches with Michael, kisses with (I'm not telling).

Another Bozo On The Bus

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) recently convened a public information session about the Secretary of Interior's proposed twenty-year ban on uranium mining in watersheds surrounding the Grand Canyon. Havasupai elders decided to express their support for the action by praying and singing in the middle of the meeting room.

Agency officials are seen in the photo conferring in the background as Dianna Sue Uqualla begins to pray. Despite uranium industry representatives' plea to stop the... read more

Check this out. I don't know in what parts of the country this will be clear.

Something to look forward to this summer: Mars

The Red Planet is about to be spectacular!

This month and next, Earth is catching up with Mars in an encounter that
will culminate in the closest approach between the two planets in
recorded history. The next time Mars may come this close is
in 2287. Due to the way Jupiter's gravity tugs on
Mars and perturbs its orbit, astronomers can only be

Not sure of anything right now. Am I to blame? Doin' the best I can. Why do I feel such terror? Why am I just fine when things are to my liking and a basket case the rest of the time? Guilty conscience?
What's my big crime? 2 library cards? Eating ice-cream?
Not opening my mail (bills)?

This too shall pass. Please let me have faith.

The Southern Ocean has lost its appetite for carbon dioxide, and now it appears that the ozone hole could be to blame.

In theory, oceans should absorb more CO2 as levels of the gas in the atmosphere rise. Measurements show that this is happening in most ocean regions, but strangely not in the Southern Ocean, where carbon absorption has flattened off. Climate models fail to reproduce this puzzling pattern.

The Southern Ocean is a major carbon sink, guzzling around 15 per cent of CO2 emis... read more
