I am so grateful that I have my mom..she is up in age and suffered a trajic accident while on the job (she's a HISD crossing guard)..she was hospitalized almost 4 months and now recovering at home..She is such a remarkable person..and such a trooper to have pulled through this at her age (88) and I appreciate how the family pulled through all this and how strong we are to be at her side and respect one another and with communication and all the values that that we were raised with and respect really showed toward my mom..I appreciate all the prayers and thoughts and visits and phone calls that honestly helped even now so that meant alot to me and family.. I don't have a dad since he passed away a long time ago but appreciate the Blessing of the closeness to my mother whom I adore with all my heart....She's now receiving homecare and recovering at a slow pace since her diabetes and her age play a part in her recovery BUT she never lost her memory and visits and being with her throughout her accident and LOADS OF LOVE helped ..She has always been so independant and still is..she's a cutie and we're so proud of her and how strong her will power is and to know her you'd be amazed that she loves life and her strength says it all..she doesn't even look her age..what a gene!..
