I am a performance artist and a grad student at UC Riverside, working on a Ph.D. in Dance History and Theory. I study, teach, perform and direct experimental theatre with an emphasis on emotional athleticism and ritual dance. I train in Butoh Mexicano with a master in Michoacan, Mexico (www.diegopinon.com). I'm always working on two or three projects at once, something avant-garde, something academic, and something new wave, genderfucked or electrotrash. I'm a double Sagittarius with a Scorpio rising, which I think makes me passionate, adventurous, and perpetually idealistic...I toe the line between a new-age healing stones herbal tea lesbian and a skanky raunchy tranny smut bondage queen...for me, a ceremonial sweat lodge is just as grounding and expressive as a hard night of dancing at a sleazy gay club. Go figure.
