When Bruce Lee created JKD he did this because he felt traditional or classical martial arts were too rigid , confined and limited . After a fight where he was challenged by the chinese martial community he fought and beat a man named wok jack mon. The thing that upset Bruce was the fact it took him 3 minutes to beat his opponent and he was very winded.
