i remember walking last thursday for the first time just over three years ago, running into gordo with his sandals and the sawed-pipe xylophone thingy. it was tuned to an unusual scale that i couldn't place. he said it was the same scale the blue man group (who i hadn't even heard of at the time) used.
i went home and leafed through old notes i kept from theory lessons and played with a keyboard for hours, finally coming to the conclusion that the scale was hungarian minor.

i've admired gordo for his inventiveness, creativity, optimism and warm spirit and am happy to call him a friend.
