Life according to Bill Gates

<div>Read this elsewhere a little education for us all

Love him or hate him, he sure hits the nail on the head with this! To anyone with kids of any age, here's some advice.

TO BAD IT JUST WON'T SINK INTO THEIR HARD HEADS.

Bill Gates recently gave a speech at a High School about 11 things they did not and will not learn in school. He talks about how feel-good, politically correct teachings created a generation of kids with no concept of reality and how this concept set them up for failure in the real world.

Rule 1 : Life is not fair - get used to it!

Rule 2 : The world won't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.

Rule 3 : You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school. You won't be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both.

Rule 4 : If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss.

Rule 5 : Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping: they called it opportunity.

Rule 6 : If you mess up, it's not your parents' fault, so don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them.

Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you thought you were. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parent's generation, try delousing the closet in your own room.

Rule 8 : Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life HAS NOT. In some schools, they have abolished failing grades and they'll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer. This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.

Rule 9 : Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF. Do that on your own time.

Rule 10: Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.

Rule 11 : Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one.

This is such good advice

<div>This got posted on another site, and i think it is so awesome

IF A MAN WANTS YOU:
-------------------
-If a man wants you, nothing can keep him away.
-If he doesn't want you, nothing can make him stay.
-Stop making excuses for a man and his behavior.
-Allow your intuition (or spirit) to save you from heartache.
-Stop trying to change yourselves for a relationship that's not meant to be.
-Slower is better.
-Never live your life for a man before you find what makes you truly happy.
-If a relationship ends because the man was not treating you as you deserve then heck no, you can't "be friends." A friend wouldn't mistreat a friend.
-Don't settle. If you feel like he is stringing you along, then he probably is.
-Don't stay because you think "it will get better." You'll be mad at yourself a year later for staying when things are not better.
-The only person you can control in a relationship is you.
-Avoid men who've got a bunch of children by a bunch of different women. He didn't marry them when he got them pregnant, why would he treat you any differently?
-Always have your own set of friends separate from his.
-Maintain boundaries in how a guy treats you.
-If something bothers you, speak up.
-Never let a man know everything. He will use it against you later.
-You cannot change a man's behavior. Change comes from within.
-Don't EVER make him feel he is more important than you are...even if he has more education or in better job. Do not make him into a quasi-god. He is a man, nothing more nothing less.
-Never let a man define who you are.
-Never borrow someone else's man.
-Oh Lord! If he cheated with you, he'll cheat on you.
-A man will only treat you the way you ALLOW him to treat you.
-All men are NOT dogs.
-You should not be the one doing all the bending... compromise is a two-way street.
-You need time to heal between relationships... there is nothing cute about baggage... deal with your issues before pursuing a new relationship.
-You should never look for someone to COMPLETE you... a relationship consists of two WHOLE individuals... look for someone complimentary... not supplementary.
-Dating is fun...even if he doesn't turn out to be Mr. Right.
-Make him miss you sometimes...when a man always know where you are, and your always readily available to him, he takes it for granted.
-Don't fully commit to a man who doesn't give you everything that you need. Keep him in your radar but get to know others.
-Share this with other ladies..... You'll make someone SMILE, another RETHINK her choices, and another woman PREPARE.
-They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them and an entire lifetime to forget them.
-Pass this on to at least 10 woman and 5 men.

BY THE WAY, THIS WAS WRITTEN BY A MAN, SO TAKE A HINT..............

<div>Had my 4th lesson today and i was a bit nervous about it. But totally cracked up lol. Thing is i know a lot of people round here i should do i have been here a long time. And i just kept seeing everyone today and they could see me. Boy was i nervous i literally cried how daft is that.

I had all these people pointing at me OMG especially when i'm learning and haven't got to graips exactly with the basics

Next lesson my instructor said we'll go somewhere where i don't know people in the next town. Well yes i know a few people there but chances of bumping (though not literally) into them is less likely</div>

    </a>
<div>I do love my crisps, but i know i eat far too many of them.
So as from yesterday i have stopped eating them. I would love a bag now but i will resist.

I did give them up a few years ago along with coke (fizzy pop) but old habits as they say.

So one thing at a time. No more crisps for now.

It's only the 2nd day oh the cravings</div>
