My Jen... I wish I could really explain how much our friendship means to me. She has been there for me in so many ways, from listening to my bitching about... well... everything, to calling me on my shit when I desperately need it. She's probably the only person in my life that I can say ANYTHING to (and I do, believe me). She's the hottest belly dancer I have ever had the pleasure of dancing with, and when we dance together it is the greatest feeling EVER! She has the biggest heart once you get around her shyness (silly girl!), and I am always delighted when I get to hang out with her. She's a thick and thin friend and she is 100% there for me when I need her. She's got a wicked sense of humor, and is always the first to get my jokes... Did I mention she is a brew GODDESS!? Wow... The only problem I have is that there are not adequate words to describe how much this woman means to me. I love ya sis... Forever and always!

As easy going as Jen is, her dance presence is palpable and strong. She radiates confidence and style, and moves with a well-earned swagger among the crowd, as beloved queen moves among her adoring subjects. Now with the Zephyr troupe moving in unison at her back, they seem like a many-armed Shiva, dancing to the primordial pulse of the world.
Wait. No, that's Bjork. As beautiful and powerful a dancer she is, her talent for teaching is scary. She posesses a keen eye and an empathic link with her students, able to pinpoint the particular difficulty that a student is having at a glance. And to be able to explain in a physical language the proper movements for bellydance is no casual feat, although she makes it look such a way. These gifts make her a natural troupe leader in an imporvisational tribal troupe, and coalesce this troupe into a single unit under her guidence. You've become a rockstar, Jen. And now you're brewing your own potions. How awesome is that?

I love the simple things in the day....reading my book on the bus on the way to work, having cups of coffee and smokes and morning mumbles with the pub staff, listening to music in the brewery, stretching, catching a smile, dancing with my sistas, teaching my class and seeing people come alive with it's process, bailing hops out of the kettle, taking naps with my dog, being in love, my friends...ohhh my friends....blessed, seeing folks stand outside on a brisk Oregon evening huddled around the fire pit at the pub clutching pints of my craft in their hands, talking of life....Isn't that what it's all about?

thanks for last night girls....practice rocked and hanging out afterwards was perfect! stress level is now down to me just getting my shite together! thanks for all the smoochies, the beers, the laughs and the energy..if yesterday didn't happen I don't know where I would be today.....*walks away doing a happy dance and a Joyce jump for added spark* haha see yas tomorrow!

Will people show up? I haven't even put my workshop together....peeps are canceling (which is totally cool for life happens) haven't worked on my solo...work is hard hard hard this week....my head is spinning...I'm having horrible dreams of everything falling apart....my lord what have I goten myself into ? fuck.........

 I keep winding back to when I was in my early twenties....just those days when things were so different and you were so young....living in Springfield over the dry cleaners....a locked fence to our long steep staircase to our apartments...there were only two...and you had to be careful when you came up to the roof and to make sure you stayed on the grip tape path made for walking....you could possibly go through the roof...our large living room window facing over where we stood and smoke... read more  she being Brand -new; and you know consequently a little stiff i was careful of her and ( having thoroughly oiled the universal joint tested my gas felt of her radiator made sure her springs were O.
