      <title>Black's Beach in San Diego</title>
      <link>http://people.tribe.net/6af5371c-911e-4e80-8e01-b45290d89a0a/blog/9944b342-d65f-4346-ad85-78045ffd9b69</link>
      <description>&lt;div&gt;So I received this email last night from a Black's Beach regular.&#xD;
As a point of reference, the actual night of the full moon was Friday.&#xD;
&#xD;
Since we canceled the Full Moon Circle, people seem to be going anyway and while&#xD;
many Rainbows go on the night of the full moon to try to teach people how to&#xD;
be conscious with the land and each other, the nights surround the full moon&#xD;
seem to be an issue as well.&#xD;
&#xD;
I went to Black's Saturday evening shortly before sunset and did some minor&#xD;
trash pickup (cigarette butts and small scraps of plastic in the sand) as&#xD;
well as removed some left over clothes, shoes, towels, etc.  I didn't leave&#xD;
until dark and there was no one there when I left - but I'm guessing later ....&#xD;
&#xD;
At any rate, I am very sadden by all this.  I've left the brother's name off&#xD;
the email because who he is isn't important - what is important is the information&#xD;
and pain he is sharing.&#xD;
&#xD;
If you want to be part of the solution, please get in contact &#xD;
San Diego Family Lightline&#xD;

&#xD;
&#xD;
&#xD;
I'm always thankful for your efforts.  We all mean well, but you have fallen short this last gathering.  As I arrived the morning of March 22, there were still many people hiking up the trail.  I saw one man rightly challenged for failing to keep his promise of carrying up cans.  I'm sure he never kept that promise.&#xD;
&#xD;
As I hiked down, I was saddened to find that steps had been taken from the trail.  Just as we were getting ahead on trail upgrades, we suffered a setback.  Soon afterward I discovered that volleyball poles had also been cut off.  Soon after that I found the poles had not gone up in smoke.  It was a senseless crime against us.&#xD;
&#xD;
Eventually I learned that the vandalism of the trail had not taken place Friday night, but rather Thursday.  Then Sunday I learned that a further act of vandalism had taken place Saturday night.  More of the trail had been raided for firewood.&#xD;
&#xD;
These acts of vandalism are taking place before, during and after your gathering.  Abusive and irresponsible people are arriving before you, and staying after you have gone.  I don't know what you can do about this.  I just want you to be aware of the depth of the problem.&#xD;
&#xD;
I feel a personal pain because I have done much of the trail upgrades.  This vandal not only undoes my work.  He leaves it in a dangerous state, specifically spikes sticking up.  I hesitate to continue with our upgrades, because we may just be supplying him with more firewood.&#xD;
