I'm an Irish/Celtic/Folk musician who's just moved to Austin from Las Vegas. I started out playing middle eastern percussion about 10 years ago. I quickly fell in love with Irish music and moved to the Bodhran. For the last 6 or 7 months, I've been really working on the guitar, and I'm not too bad. I've played with numerous bands, and should be joining some friends of mine here in Austin as their drummer (with fiddle and vocals to follow as soon as I get good enough).
I also paint portraits and abstracts, I'm an avid photographer, I've edited a book on finances, had several short stories and poems published, and I've been to 6 foreign countries (oddly, all island countries...)
