about me
Born and raised in good ol' Salt Lake, I moved out of Utah as soon as I graduated from high school. For seven years I bounced around from place to place, but the desert called me home. I changed a lot during my travels and have returned home a different person than when I left. I have been back for just over three years now.
I am involved in the Pagan and Thelemic community and am just starting to meet the Utah Burn community. I love beautiful minds and beautiful people...the two go hand in hand for me.
I enjoy being active and trying new things though it takes me a while to gather my courage some times. I am shy and introverted but love people. I love to travel but need a place to call home and set my roots. I have a vivid imagination but no artistic ability. I love to dance but have no rhythm. When the music plays and I drift off to my own world...who cares whether I have rhythm or not?
Hard to define yourself in a few short lines, but there's my attempt.
Artists
(blog entry)
I am just starting a new book, Lon Milo DuQuette's Enochian Vision Magick, and was struck by this statement in the prologue and wanted to share it somewhere:
"Make no mistake about it, magick is an art form, and every true magician is an artist...

*there are so many things that I could add, but this is where this entry will stand*
Usually, when I write about a vacation, journey, or experience, I write in chronological order. I did this last year. For some reason, this year doesn't real...

Vegetarian community cook book and potluck!
(blog entry)
Hey all,
I want to throw together a community cook book with a twist: so many of us are vegetarian or vegan, why not?
Another motivator here: my sis has recently decided to take up the vegetarian mantle but has no idea how to cook a healthy...

Putting the "Amor" into "Polyamory"
(blog entry)
Around three years ago, I was speaking with a very wise woman about polyamory. The one thing that she said that has stuck with me since then was that from her point of view, if you are not practicing polyamory out of love, then what is the point? ...

"Make no mistake about it, magick is an art form, and every true magician is an artist. Just like the musician and dancer, the magician must practice, create, and perform. Just like the painter or sculptor, he or she must be armed with proper tools, skills knowledge, and, most of all, inspiration. But what about people who've never l...

I have not been active in the LDS church since I was made to repent by my bishop, at age fifteen, for having been molested, abused, and raped. I have spent the fifteen years since that time trying to find ...

Usually, when I write about a vacation, journey, or experience, I write in chronological order. I did this last year. For some reason, this year doesn't really fit chronologically. It seems as though it was all one set of days that were shuffled together to create one experience. If I let myself, I could break it down into days and times; my mind just works that way. I prefer to see it all as a whole,...

Hey all,
I want to throw together a community cook book with a twist: so many of us are vegetarian or vegan, why not?
Another motivator here: my sis has recently decided to take up the vegetarian mantle but has no idea how to cook a healthy vegie diet.
Here's how it would work:
1. Send me your favorite vegetarian/vegan recipe
2. I will bind together a cook book (we can do electronic or an actual book. If a book, I would only ask to be reimbursed for binding and printing costs...m...

Around three years ago, I was speaking with a very wise woman about polyamory. The one thing that she said that has stuck with me since then was that from her point of view, if you are not practicing polyamory out of love, then what is the point? This is paraphrased quite a bit and was much more profound the way that she said it. We discussed how even a one night stand could be an act of pure love. I have approached my relationships with this philosophy in mind, and have loved and been loved ...
