Capitol Aquarium ( local favorites » shops ) "Way cool, gigantic tropical fish store" The is one of the coolest places in Sacramento -- a giant tropical fish store with a pond of koi carp you can feed, an electric eel named SMUD and tanks of live coral. I stop by whenever I'm in town to check out the thousands of fish.

Tomate ( local favorites » restaurants ) "Extra Yummy Berkeley Breakfast" I just had another wonderful breakfast at Tomate, a little cafe with some of the best food around. My favorite is the Harvest Breakfast with savory tofu steak, perfectly poached eggs, zucchini fritters, cooked spinach and fried cinnamon apples. ... read more
