TONY HAD A GRAND MAL SEIZURE TONIGHT (VETERANS HOSPITAL) WHILE I WAS AT BELLY DANCE CLASS. THIS IS A BUMMER BECAUSE HE HAS WENT 2 MONTHS WITHOUT ONE AND NOW IT FEELS LIKE A STEP BACK. HE IS SUPPOSED TO COME HOME SOON. IF YOU COULD PLEASE PRAY FOR HIM THAT THE DOCS WILL FIGURE THIS OUT. THEY CANNOT FIND WHAT IS TRIGGERING THE SEIZURES. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

The boys and I went to visit Tony yesterday and he kept trying to describe a man with a long beard and kept saying " oh my gosh, with a surprised look on his face and couldn't wait to get it out and couldn't etc. " So I am playing charades with Tony for a good 15 minutes and thought he had a dream about Santa or Jesus? Well, I wasn't getting it and so Tony motioned to me to just let it go. Well, the nurse came by and I asked her what he was talking about. I guess the night before, Tony...

Hello, Today is Tony's 41st birthday. The boys, Dwight ,and I went up to the hospital to have a cake for Tony etc. It didn't go as planned and I am sorta bummed about it. Tony was depressed yesterday and today. He is trying to push me away and wants me to just go on with my life. When I look into his eyes, I just see so much sadness and he is trapped inside. I even told him I would bring him home now. He said no. He knows he needs to do the therapy, s... read more
My husband had a bad fall a few weeks ago while at the hospital and broke his tail bone/coccyx right off. He is now in the VA hospital in Brecksville for therapy etc. and to heal up. He is feeling better emotionally though. He likes his roommates and the nursing staff. They spoil him because he is the youngest one there. Everyone is in their 70's and above mainly. Tony is 40! LOL I feel a lot better about him being there now and feel rested. I am working full time and enjoying ever...

OK, I AM GIVING THE VA ONE MORE CHANCE AND THAT IS IT. TODAY HAS BEEN UNIMAGINABLE. THE BOYS AND I WENT UP TO SEE TONY AND BEFORE I GOT TO THE ROOM THE NURSE ASKED TO TALK TO ME FOR A MINUTE. SHE EXPLAINED HOW TONY WAS VERY TIRED AND THEY COULDN'T GET HIM AWAKE ETC. HE WAS IN PAIN ALL NIGHT ETC. SHE ASKED ME WHAT I THOUGHT WAS WRONG. SO I SAID, ' I WILL BE BACK, LET ME GO TAKE A LOOK.' I WENT IN AND KNEW HE DIDN'T LOOK RIGHT. I ASKED HER FOR THE MED LIST BECAUSE SHE SAID HE TOOK HIS MORNING M...

Tony is starting to act more like himself. He is being discharged from the hospital tomorrow morning and transported to the VA hospital for rehabilitation. Physical, occupational, and speech. He will be trained on his speech device too, which is exciting. It has been a rough week but I have to keep on going. I want Tony to make the best recovery possible. A reporter from our local newspaper is coming Monday for an interview. She wants to share our story about the staph infection (MRSA)...
