You couldn't ask for a better friend than this dude! He's the type of guy you can call up at 3AM and say, "I need to borrow a bathtub, several tubs, and a 55 gallon drum of lye." And not only would show up, but he'd have several pairs of chemical gloves and a shovel as well.

I have been very very bad to my tribes. Sorry! I'll try to keep up better. A LOT has happened in two years...

The Buddy Guy show was great.

Rainy Gaslamp Mardis Gras is not the best scenario for anything aside from the obligatory self loathing. But we all do that anyways, right?

Parking was fifteen bucks, but not that far from the spot, so it was okay. Except the machine wasn't giving change for twenties. So it was really twenty bucks. Twenty bucks for parking, during an event (and that's another issue...everything is an event now, so when do you get regular parking rates?). Am I insane, or me... read more

Today is Fat Tuesday, and I believe I will be going down to San Diego House of Blues to see Buddy Guy, Chicago blues guitarician extraordinaire. I am not looking forward to driving and parking downtown on Fat Tuesday in the rain, but it'll be fun in that not really San Diego sort of way. Know what I mean? It'll be novel, going to see a blues show in the rain in San Diego, I think that's what I am trying to say.

You can check out the House of Blues San Diego portion of their "www.ho... read more

I rolled to the show on Thursday, and things were good. Well, except for not eating before. I could have used some House Nabeyaki Soba for that trip, but what can you do?

The Trusted rocked as promised, and they are being asked back to open for Buck Cherry, which is a really good thing for them. Brian tore it up on the guitarro, which was really cool to see. He's very talented, and obviously works really hard at it. The rest of the band was on par with him, and the whole together was a sub... read more

Uhm. So, tomorrow I am going to see Brian's new band "The Trusted" at Cane's. I got two extra tickets if anyone is interested. But, since I ony have one friend here, and she is not in town, I guess that's moot. [edit] Okay, now I have three! Watch out, popular kids, the slinky weasel is coming up.

I am trying this blog out for the first time. I will now attempt to add a picture to this post.

[edit]

I forgot to mention that I will be attempting to bootleg the show with my newly acquir... read more

We recently launched a new dedicated forum for the forthcoming Trail of Cthulhu RPG, and to go with this we have a couple of video interviews with the artist (Jérome Huguenin) and also the publisher of the new game (Simon Rogers of Pelgrane Press).

The recordings were made at the Dragonment convention in London at the beginning of December. If you're curious about this new Cthulhu RPG and what it has to offer, it may be worth a look...

January 2008 sees the release of a new Chaosium-licenced Cthulhu roleplaying game. The Trail of Cthulhu, written by Ken Hite and published by Pelgrane Press.

Trail of Cthulhu is based on Robin D. Laws' GUMSHOE system rather than Chaosium's BRP or WotC's d20 versions. Pelgrane promises a range of support materials for the new game and we're adding to that support by opening up a new forum dedicated to the Trail of Cthulhu game, moderated by longstanding 'Son of Yog-Sothoth' GBSteve and Pelgrane's own Simon Rogers.

Yog Radio #27 (Christmas 07 edition) will feature a couple of interviews with members of Pelgrane Press about Trail of Cthulhu, and with a bit of luck you may even see them before then!
