Enough About Me

Location
about me
I'm traveling incognito

I'm occasionally wrong about some things

My grip on reality's not too good at the best of times

The more I know me, the less I like me

I'm suffering from post-reincarnation amnesia, as far as I can remember

I always leave things until the last moment

I'd hate to end the universe by mistake.

Just once I'd like to meet an alien menace threatening the Earth that wasn't immune to bullets

I've been sliding through an inter-dimensional wormhole seeing how many ways people can screw up civilization.

My fundamental belief system centers around the fact that sometimes, if you stand on the bottom rail of a bridge and lean over to watch the river slipping slowly away beneath you, you will suddenly know everything there is to be known.

Everything I know in life I learned from Dr. Who and Winnie ther Pooh.

Mental Bubblegum

I didn't realize how long it had been since I'd visited tribe. Quite a while. I've had pneumonia twice and am pretty sure I've got it again, been to Moscow, acquired a hookah (thanks Steph and Michelle), mourned some losses, and started learning to play a doumbek. I've done quite a few drawings so far this year, a couple poems and haven't completed one project that was one my list of things to do. It's been fun!

Winter Moon

Sleep is shifting away.
In my room cold flakes drift down

Dissolve and run down my cheeks.
It’s snowing here.

I become an ice maiden
Under my dark cave of blankets.
There’s someplace else I need to be.
I step among the falling flakes of snow
Between the falling and the fallen.

Through the window
There’s a city softly sleeping
It’s unfamiliar to me.
Below in the street are people,
They howl at the moon.
What shook th... read more

Poem and collage I did as my Samhain offering. The picture is out there, but the poem doesn't show up unless you view full size so I decided to put it here as ....don't know exactly.

Children hide where the burdock blooms;
For he can eclipse them with a wink;
Blind them with a word.

A revengeful burst of resurrection;
Grasping air where stillness holds sway;
Where the beetle scurries and a moping bird
Holds back his song.

Samhain, (pronounced SOW-in, SAH-vin, or SAM-hayne) means "End of Summer", and is the third and final Harvest. The dark winter half of the year commences on this Sabbat. The energy of the world is withdrawing into Annwn.

It is generally celebrated on October 31st, but some traditions prefer November 1st. It is one of the two "spirit-nights" each year, the other being Beltane. It is a magical interval when the mundane laws of time and space are temporarily suspended, and the Thin Veil betwe... read more
