My Blog

I got a sweet new Tack head fretless banjo; perfect for hammerplucking, Minstrel-style. It's a nice instrument, and was very inexpensive. The guy who makes them lives here in Seattle.

I'm also talking to an Armenian travel agent for a theoretical trip to Armenia next year. I'd like to get a couple of Proffessional Dhols and take some instruction there. I have a number of nice connections, so the fun is starting to become a possibility.

Well, I had a biopsy(one of too many on my life) done on some extraneous tissue, and although it is not pretty, it's not fatal. What a relief. I had non-hodgkins lymphoma and went through chemo and such, with two related heart-attacks and a number of surgeries to eliminate bad tumours, so to get this kind of good news is sweet.

I played a nice fish-skin Darbuka today; it was like heaven. I need a new drum(I always need a new drum)
