about me
* i am just like you but different * i am just as much a part of you as you are a part of me, whether or not you choose ot recognize it, we are one. * whatever i say or think about you i am also, or perhaps only, saying and thinking about myself. * whatever i do to you, i am only doing to myself. * i guess i had better be sure to treat you with the same love honor and respect that i know i deserve because you most definitely deserve that love honor and respect as well. * thank you for being you, for being alive, for being a reflection of divine light, for sharing this moment with me, for being my teacher and my friend. *

I exist to love and be loved, to live and breathe and be love. I do my best to live each moment with the passion and verve deserving of such a beautiful gift and I'm only human so sometimes I fall miserably short of that. I laugh very loud and often, but not when I'm being "serious". I flirt shamelessly, with everyone, regardless of demographics. I love to be spontaneous and crazy, and I love quiet nights at home with a good book and a cup of tea. I have regular scrabble dates with my mom, though not so frequently since my life exploded (in the very best of ways). I am known to be the first one on the dance floor and the last one off. I thoroughly enjoy being ridiculous and try to avoid those who take themselves too seriously. I enjoy creating beauty whether it be in the form of a song, a painting, a great meal . . . and I feed my existence through the appreciation of beauty in it's infinite forms, in fact it is just as much a part of my sustenance as is the fresh organic food I ingest, the luscious water I imbibe, and the sometimes thick but always sweet air I inspire deeply and with great appreciation. I love to misuse and abuse elipsis . . . I look for the beauty in all things and have gotten quite good at finding it in the most unexpected places, and especially in you. I can be very hard on myself, and I am lightening up more and more in each moment. I used to love so big that I would break my own heart on a daily basis, I have since cut out the latter part of that process. I think Mother Theresa had something to say about that. Oh yeah, and I find myself very amusing . . .

Watch out when you're on the road today. The 15 N was crawling w/ CHP's. There was someone pulled over every couple of miles or so.

Does anyone know about caring for baby birds? I came home from my morning walk to find a beautiful little baby with a broken wing happing around the yard. I couldn't locate the nest it came from so I calmed it down enough to hop in my hand and come inside. I am keeping it warm and have given it water and rescue remedy but I have no idea how often or what it needs to be fed. Thank god for the internet, bu any insight would be greatly appreciated. If anyone has a birdcage I could borrow wh... read more

This weekend’s adventure consisted of a trip out Snaefellsness (that would be snow mountain peninsula) in search of the ever elusive Snaefellsjokull (ummm, snow mountain glacier.) One wouldn’t think that a being so large as a glacier could be an elusive character and yet . . .

The trip out to the peninsula was quite lovely despite dodgy weather. The reports had called for sleet, snow, and ridiculous winds but I’m sort of like the US Mail, weather be damned, if this is the only weekend ... read more

More of the same here, (and more new and advernturous things too!!) Lots of baby time, lots of walking around Reykjavic. It's so wonderful to have this much time to really explore and become familiar with the city. Now that I've made it to the inital this, that, and the other touristy things to do I am able to really settle in and see things that I probably would not see in a few days or weeks. We travelled to Gulfoss, Geysir and Thingevellir this weekend (that would be on the touristy th... read more
