about me
I'm drifting along with my paintbrush, enjoying all of the beautiful sights. Moving has allowed me to see more deeply the landscape in which I live. The trees, their branches and leaves reveal their intended design, while the protective nature of all plants is known by the prickliest of warnings on branches and shrubs alike. I appreciate every drop of life giving water. This includes the political landscapes from which I came and have now entered. They are harsh, barren, and full of thorny dangers. Snakes shift through desert sands, waiting for a weak moment to strike. It is friendship's laughter that shows me the way. I appreciate every drop of this life giving water.

"What is real?" asked the rabbit one day. "Does it mean having things that buzz inside you and a stick-out handle?"

"Real isn't how you are made," said the Skin horse. It doesn't happen all at once. You become. It takes a long time. Generally by the time you are Real, most of you hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don't matter at all, because once you are Real you can't be ugly, except to people who don't und... read more
Adam recently started suggesting that I try taking up the art of tattoo as a hobby. At first I didn't think I was interested at all. At festivals, I always loved to put henna on people, giving me the chance to /meet others and draw leisurely. But I was terrified of making a mistake on someones skin. The responsibility was so great that I just couldn't imagine it.

Adam has been working hard at having fun making plugs and all sorts of earrings from Morretti Italian glass. Created by lampwork, these kiln-fired glass earrings are my favorite type to wear. They are better than stainless steal because of their inherent personality. No plug is ever the same, even though there are many matching sets to wear due to the fact each is hand-made by him. We make all sizes between 14g and 1 inch. The local sh... read more
Did you know that? That glass merely slows to a rate when cooled, rather than actually freezing in place?

Adam began training under the glass artist Tom Philibaum this year. He's making bowls, vases, paper weights...whatever you can think of, including the more useful "vases" and "bowls" on his own time. Even I, who has been working with Acrylic have found that glass can be a useful medium. The Graal technique allows me to make block printing images into the glass. I don't have any ... read more

You are the totality of what you do and can therefore change yourself by doing otherwise. Magic is the art of deliberately believing and pretending very hard and finding that it works. Highly improbable things can be done by those who are prepared to experiment with the belief that they are not quite so improbable. The world is an illusion, it has played a confidence trick on you if you let it define who you are. However, you are able to play confidence tr... read more
