No Rest For the Wicked
Sleep Study complete. What a treasure it was. It was a nice place, but not exactly restful when you're wired up head to toe trying to sleep and awakened every time an wire starts to come loose. I'm ever so glad that it is over. Thankfully this should be the last test for a long time. I should know the results fairly quickly since the sleep lab was next door to the doctors office. I slept like the dead once I got home after the study and almost didn't wake up in time to go to work tonight.... read more

EEG showed nada
The EEGs I had have shown nothing in regards to seizures; so it seems like it may have been just a one time thing possibly a reaction to not being able to sleep even though I had taken a sleep aid. Needless to say I am never ever gonna take leave the house until I am sure that med is out of my system. The doc did suggest a Sleep Study and I was like what the hell go for it; I've already hit my deductible this year so what's one more test.

Ambulatory EEG done
Ok so I had the 24 hour ambulatory EEG done Wed-Thurs this week. It was interesting and provided some amusement for my family who thought I looked just stunning with my head wrapped in gauze like the Mummy from a Creature Feature show. That crap itches! I should hear the results when I return to see the neurologist at the beginning of April. Wish me luck!

Lyrica Sucks!!!!
Lyrica the wonder drug for Fibro....ugh I don't think so! 41/2 days after starting it I am going nuts from all the muscle spasms and bizarro sensations that follow every dose of it I take. I looked it up online and found out that one of the warnings for this med was Thrombocytopenia. Now those of you who really know me and you know who you are- know that I just about went ballistic on the doctors today. I will NOT take any Freakin med that could potentially cause that crap! I don't even have the energy to title this-minor ranting
A week of Fibro flare has just about drove me over the edge. Between the doctors, the tests,the tests that are still coming, the unbelievably huge pharmacy bill (don't ask you really don't want to know ) and a flare up from hell that has all but paralyzed the left side of my body I am just plain exhausted....and now for another medication which may or may not help only time will tell. I swear you need more than the patience of Job to deal with this crap!
