Ok sorry to get gross here but are we talking about diarrhea or constipation or both? I usually swing between the two. Milk and ice cream kill me unless I get the good stuff made from cows that have not been treated with the rBGH (recombivant Bovi...

That's interesting because the pain specialist I saw recommended that I put ice at the base of the skull and heat on the forhead for migraines. I tried it and found that it worked about 50% of the time for me. What really helped was the chiropractor.

I"m lucky that my mother is a masseuse so I can get one whenever I really need it. The thing is whenever she does trigger point massage on me I scream like I'm being murdered. She used to tell me that she was barely touching me and so finally I ju...

Aaaaah Lexapro - they should market that as a diet pill. I never crapped so much in my entire life and I lost over 10 pounds in the first month on that puppy!

At last July is approaching and that means time for the annual pilgrimmage to home sweet home IOWA! For this fantastic trip I will actually engage in some vacation like behavior (as opposed to just schlepping on up there for a visit with the fam). I will actually be making a stop in Hot Springs, Arkansas the birthplace of good ole Billy boy William Jefferson Clinton. My brother has decided to meet up with my mother and I and go to the Springs. He has decided to give us our birhtday present...

Daily I am reminded that idiocy seems to be the call of the day. Now no I am not talking about the head injured individuals that I work with, in fact in many ways they seem to have a smidge more common sense than a number of other folks. Maybe it is because they have already had their ultimate moment of idiocy and survived it none the less or in some cases they survived someone else's moment of idiocy. I see it daily on the drive to and from work in the way people drive - weaving in and ou...

That is the response I received from the doc when I saw her. So we decided it was safe for me to try the Provigil again. Last week on the Provigil I was very focused, clear thoughts, and memory was better ; BUT (there is always a BUT) I was also only sleeping 2-2.5 hours a night and running around like a mad woman everyday trying to get "things" ready for the big weekend at Evets knighting. It was a lovely sight and extremely well deserved! I was able to sleep a lot while away for the weekend...

Don't you just hate it when your doctor starts acting weird or unusual? Normally this Neurologist I've been seeing has just called me to tell me the results of this or that test, or she asks me to set up and appointment which usually takes 3-4 weeks to get into see her because she is friggin busy. Then TODAY I return a call from the office and find out she would like to have me set up a followup appt with her from the Sleep Study. I call and the girl asks why I am calling then puts me on hol...

Sleep Study complete. What a treasure it was. It was a nice place, but not exactly restful when you're wired up head to toe trying to sleep and awakened every time an wire starts to come loose. I'm ever so glad that it is over. Thankfully this should be the last test for a long time. I should know the results fairly quickly since the sleep lab was next door to the doctors office. I slept like the dead once I got home after the study and almost didn't wake up in time to go to work tonight....
