about me
I am a bit of an eclectic pyschonaut who has been forging his own spiritual path now for many years trying to find out what works (for me) and what does not. Do not though, i repeat, do not try to follow me. Oh, i know where i'm going alright but that's no reason you would want to go there as well. I resonate well with many spirits, but have found Papa Legba, the Gedes and the Simbis closest to my heart and head. Lately i have also realized that i must also be drawn to Ogou as it recently dawned on me that this must be why i have surrounded myself with so many edged weapons. I have an extensive collection of Indonesian keris (sacred blade of the Malays) and my altar room is literally ringed with sharp, pointy iron things. But if i were forced to say what my path is i guess i would say it is the path of the drum. It is drumming that has led me to Vodou and many other good things in my life. Drumming is my main service to the spirits and they have treated me well for it.

Re: far away from everywhere (in Vodou) Hi Lena. Welcome.
Vodoun is a religion that certainly has it's roots in Africa, no doubt, but i disagree that it is a "black religion" as in a religion meant just for blacks. If indeed you find interest in Haitian Vodou then you must know that i... read more

Re: Calendar: Fete Ghede: November 1 & 2 (in Vodou) Well Wedosi, if your friend had followed the link and read all that was there she probably could have avoided her shock. They clearly do not practice an orthodox version of Vodoun. They are clear about being eclectic.
I am not at all surprised t... read more
