My biggest concern is not economic or energy policy, though they are huge, but rather loss of personal freedoms and Constitutional integrity. The biggest threat to the U.S. People is not external terrorism, but fear mongering in the name of anti-terrorism, resulting in intrusive government. Manipulation of international events and politics (Georgia, Iran, nuclear threats, etc.) may well result in marshal law invoked preventing change in administration. Check back here in January 2009. For years I have had parakeets. They seem to fit my lifestyle and mood. This is the first time I have had eggs. Pet owners get to howl about their puppies, or mew about their kittens. In acouple of weeks I may get to crow about my chicks. (Terrible, I know, terrible...)

When I was a kid, my Mom raised us in the Catholic church. I learned Latin, prayers in Latin, how to kneel for an hour on cold marble, and that the Catholic church was the one true, holy, and apostolic church. All other Christian faiths were just "near misses".
