We got ourselves another tax write-off! :-)

December 1st, 2008... 8:51pm... Timothy Joseph Brennan III took his first breath. It was another amazing moment. :) He was given to me right away by my actual doctor, Kay Elledge, (not someone I'd never met on call) as opposed to being whisked away to be cleaned and tested. I got to just stare into his eyes as he laid on my chest and not too much later he was breastfeeding. He weighed a whopping 10 pounds 10.4 ounces. The delivery was relatively easy given his size, but the epidural definitely was not as effective as it was with Milla or Lil. It's not something I can say I'd want to do again. :) Recovery has been swift, and so far, little Timmy is an absolute content bundle of joy.

TJ's mother was here until December 5th helping out, then we were left to fend for ourselves! Of course, sleep has been on the short side, and the holidays added an extra burden, so we kept it really mellow. Milla was really excited this year about the decorating and the fact that Santa was coming. I wasn't going to play into the whole Santa mythology but it just happened... ay yay yay! Lil was equally excited about anything Milla was excited about. We had to leave the lower half of the Christmas tree for decorating by the girls with an ever-changing parade of Barbie dolls, ponies and dinosaurs!

Timmy is now one month old to the day, and I think he's grown about 2 inches and put on over 2 and 1/2 pounds. The girls love seeing him and "tickling" him. Milla is always saying how cute he is. I'd write more, but extra time escapes me now. Let me just say that I am totally in love with this little boy and he completes our family so well. He exudes a certain sense of peace and tranquility that is undeniable and reminds me of the power of serenity. Smile.
