I am a high school English teacher- so I kindof have a double life; people that I meet when I'm dancing can't believe I'm a school teacher, and work colleagues (besides my friends) would never guess that I'm a belly dancer, mainly because I look totally different. But I really wouldn't say that either of those things define who I am. I enjoy belly dancing as a hobby and I like to dance at restaurants about once or twice a month, and do the workshops and stuff, but that's about the extent of my aspirations as a belly dancer. My time at home with my best friend (Clint) and my dogs is what I value more than anything. (I know, that's corny, but it's the truth)

In less than 48 hrs. I will put my body through hell and be cussing out my friend Kathryn (in my head) for talking me into it. The Power Maiden Sprint Triathlon. Sprint means that it is shorter than a real triathlon. It's a 300 meter swim, followed by a 13 mile bike ride, and a 5K run.
