I just finished watching The Last Samurai on DVD. The film was beautiful and had meaning on many levels. (It was also very sad, but I'm not doing a movie rating right now)

It stirred within something that has been bothering me for a long time. Our lack of simplicity and tranquility in our daily lives. Not just my family in particular but as a nation as well.

What appealed to me most in this film, is the tranquil beauty and lifestyle of the Samurai people. It was inspirational. It also... read more
