On my last morning, my sister and I (and princess, of course) went to Lanikai for a sunrise swim. It couldn't have been more cathartic. I had a chance to really go through the emotions of leaving the aina. Still though, as I am in LA for a few days before heading to Baja, I feel in transition and the true emotion of the big move has yet to sink in. I did bathe in the waters of the Pacific again yesterday. Hermosa Beach, LA. A little colder, a little dirtier, but still the waters of the Pacific. And I felt that there is something truly magical, pacifying even haha, about the Pacific Ocean. I am looking forward to feeling settled in Sebastopol so that I can nest and re-integrate and feel what it feels like to be a California Girl again. So, my Ohana, thank you. Due in large part to all of you, I feel Hawaii is always going to be one of my homes. Aloha, Debbie Day
