My friend Jo reminded me of national pie day in Netherlands. This got me thinking, how about a National day for all those people around the world that do not have a special national day, me included. Up date from my part of the world, SW Tasmania. Hoping this will the last, well second last of my long road trips, as I have one to WA with heaps of gear. Looking forward getting back with my old girl friend, my sweet darling, who is so faithful who rarely lets me down. I had to drop her recently due to a pressure problem, which has now been fixed. So no more speed limits, I can cruise at >300KPH (190MPH) without watching for blue lights at 20,000 feet. Mind you, as member of the Greens party...

Former United Nations weapons inspector Doctor Hans Blix has been awarded the 2007 Sydney Peace Prize.

The jury was unanimous in the decision to give the award to Dr Blix, who notified the Security Council in March 2003 that no evidence of weapons of mass destruction had been found in Iraq.
