Answering that item always leaves me wondering, "What do inquiring minds want to know?" I suppose it would suffice to say that I am a reasonably witty, reasonably intelligent, reasonably creative woman. Best described as an 'eclectic traditionalist'.

Bluemoon Lagoon restaurant
( local favorites » restaurants ) "I'll be back the first time there is a second blue moon in February" I recently attempted to dine at this new restaurant at the Rock Harbor Marina. I asked for a table for one. The hostess looked at me like I was crazy and said, "We don't have any." I started to leave then went to the bar and asked to see a mana... read more

Such Sweet Thrills (blog entry) 6 months ago, you could not have convinced me that I could ever hoop. But, I really can. My daughter is really impressed. She can do everything I show her from class. Almost everything - the first time she tries. Oh that it were so easy for m... read more

Just a girl thing - jammin' in the house (blog entry) Today my daughter was playing her bass guitar. She had a CD on and was playing along with whatever she was listening to. So I got my hoop and joined in. For about 15 minutes or so, she played and I hooped. Worked up a serious sweat and we had ... read more

Demos' Steak and Spaghetti House
( local favorites » restaurants ) "Maybe there are two of them...." I have eaten at Demo's twice...the first time, I was not impressed. The second time, my steak was so salty that I couldn't eat it. I don't know what the fuss is about. They've been in business downtown for years but I am not planning on dining ... read more

Moving toward fulfilling another childhood wish (blog entry) I never was able to keep a hula hoop up. Just seemed to be hoop impaired. Considering I was never a particularly athletic child, that shouldn't be surprising.

My Blog

6 months ago, you could not have convinced me that I could ever hoop. But, I really can. My daughter is really impressed. She can do everything I show her from class. Almost everything - the first time she tries. Oh that it were so easy for me. But it is not. And that is ok.

What impresses her most is that I, literally, could not hoop - could not keep that thing up.

And now I can. So, who cares that I am not the greatest? I am me. I can hoop. I have fun doing it. And that... read more

I never was able to keep a hula hoop up. Just seemed to be hoop impaired. Considering I was never a particularly athletic child, that shouldn't be surprising.

Now, though, I think it was a matter of not knowing the proper technique. So, despite the fact I am no longer a 20-something woman, I am learning to hoop. When everyone else in the class is working on the 'limbo' or 'booty bump' moves, I'm still in the corner trying to master just pumping my hoop. But that's ok.

I bet I wil... read more

You know, this is just not like me. Writing a message andsticking it out there where the whole universe can see it.

I used to think that I was an extrovert. Then, I got to thinking. Maybe I'm not. There are many things about which I will be very open. But, there are more where I prefer to hold my cards close to my vest until I learn who is safe and who is not.

I've lived in the same town all my life. For that matter, I've lived in the same quadrant of the town all my life.
