about me
I am just starting law school at the University of Oregon. This past May, I finished my BS in Environmental Studies. My ultimate goal is to work in International Environmental Advocacy.
I am originally from AZ and though I don't miss the heat, I do miss the sun...I am a complete sunworshipper yet I am a night person, it depends on my mood I guess. I've travelled quite a bit in the US, especially in the West...yes in a VW Bus no less! I lived in CO for a year and picked up snowboarding which I unfortunately haven't done in a few years now. The past few years I have spent in Asheville, it is the most settled I've been since I turned 18 but it's because I have a goal and it requires my patience...I really want to pack up and start driving at least once a day but I'm fighting that urge until I graduate...I have sustained myself on at least one road trip each summer so far and plane trips at Christmas and road trips at spring break...wow I do travel as much as I can!
I try to be involved at school and in the community particularly when it comes to activism but I am a full time student and I generally have a job or two as well so sometimes I go MIA for months at a time. Usually you will find me buried under books and desperately needing a break but forcing myself to continue anyway.
So yes I am a fairly typical ENTJ personality ("the executive") in that I have intense organization and drive and push myself past exhaustion regularly. I am also a pretty typical Scorpio except that I have done a lot of work on the jealousy/possesiveness thing so I'm better than I used to be. My first long term relationship drove me to work on these nasty characteristics and I must say I really rarely harbor such feelings anymore. Finally I am a Rooster in Chinese astrology with a Pig, a Tiger, and an Ox in my month/day/hour.
I spent 5th grade through Highschool exploring alternative religions and feel pretty well informed on all the major ones at this point...they are all the same mind you so I believe in all of their core values and none of their detailed rules! I called myself Wiccan for quite some time and Buddhist before that...if I HAD to pick one I'd say Taoism. However, I like all methods of divination and have quite a selection of methods to employ such when I'm inclined.
More specifically...what am I like to be around (I explained WHO I am). I am intelligent, honest (sometimes past peoples limits), creative, always open to listening (and I give advice IF you request it), also a bit talkative when I feel like it, often a little twisted in my humor and interests, very self reliant (to the point that I sometimes curse it), generally up for anything that seems adventurous or slightly dangerous (I say slightly because sometimes I get a bit cautious about things), I am currently very interested in learning to spin poi or play with fire in general, and if you hang out with me you are almost gauranteed some political conversation (even as a child I debated politics and religion...it just doesn't go away). If I had written this a few years ago I would have put Herbal medicine and Rainbow Gatherings in my interests but they are on the back burner right now as well as stained glass and any other craft that requires more than 30min to an hour of attention.
I'd love to get to know some people in Eugene. Send a message if you are interested in outdoor adventures, coffee, or studying law...or maybe studying law outdoors while drinking coffee!

OK, so I obviously am a bit preoccupied with determining my next move in life but also trying not to forget about the completion of my current endeavor. It's a rigorous balancing act sometimes! I received admission from a school in Portland, OR ...

OK, so I obviously am a bit preoccupied with determining my next move in life but also trying not to forget about the completion of my current endeavor. It's a rigorous balancing act sometimes! I received admission from a school in Portland, OR as well as an offer of pretty nice merit scholarship money if I go there, so it's looking pretty strong. I'll be visiting Portland and the school March 20-21 so let me know if you know of some cool places to check out in Portland...I won't be stayin...

This means I will be in AZ over the summer and then in CA or OR in August!!!!!! I will be so glad to get out there again on a permanent basis. The West is simply home to me...this place has been really bizarre and I haven't felt like myself for awhile so I think moving back will be good for my mental health!
Anyway, I am sooo busy this semester already and I know ...

Don't get me wrong I love the set up on Tribe and everything but most of my friends are on the other two.
Anyway, I'm in AZ right now and will be back to NC right after the New Year so let me know if there are any interesting things coming up. I think my goal this next year is going to be to tak...

Anyhow, next week looks a little more open so hopefully I can at least get my sewing done! And then there will have to be a practice session with them lit before I can do a little demo for which everyone wants to see, I guess...in my excitement I told everyone I saw...

So, the March yesterday was amazing. There were sooo many people filling the National Mall (the big park from the capitol building to the Washington Monument) and surroungding the capitol building and I guess more were down by the white house and stuff! One news report said tens of thousands and another said 400,000...they never can estimate anything near one another. In the area by the capitol, I can say there were at least 100,000 but it's not very easy to estimate when you can see a mas...
