Insomnia: I've struggled with it most my life now. My earliest clear recollection of not being able to sleep regardless of exhaustion is from my late childhood. (Man, I know I'm strung out when I start contemplating the use of the subjunctive mood mid-sentence.) I must have been around 11 or so. When I turned 30, I freaked out a little bit. Or maybe a lot. I suppose it depends entirely on perspective since my husband claims I was totally around the bend, and I felt like I was very mild mannered about the whole thing. Then again, I could simple be comparing myself to former compatriots in the opera world. So a little or a lottle, it freaked me out. Mainly I was distraught over what I hadn't accomplished in life. I had a day of absolutely no motivation toward productivity. The semester's ended, and both my brain and body need a recharge I guess. I may be either very scarce over the next couple of weeks or terrible present here at tribe, my dears. In a rare act of clumsiness I managed to break my toe last night by... walking too fast into the cats' scratching post. On one hand I would like to blame the force that obviously enable such an injury on my mad Tai Chi skillz which oh so clearly resulted in a nicely energized stride.
