In other news, darter turned 18 yesterday. Ho-lee mackerel. Less than three weeks till she's off to college. Dang.

I've been negligent . . . spending all my time either trying to change the world or get my dang book published. One thing I've done is join another group blog for writers, where I'm hoping I'll be able to build some interest in the book. I have to write something for them once a week, and that seems like the minimum I should be doing here, too. I feel like I've fallen out of touch.

I have an offer (no real money) from a publisher who wants my book! I am SO excited I can hardly stand it.

They're saying it'll be at least a year, but I'm hoping I can accelerate the schedule by promising them I can sell a bunch right away.
