I talked to Issam today and he is in the process of finding out what is going on with Riqq. He is not happy with what is going on. He will be in contact with the people of G. E. F. and hopefully resolve the matter.

I am really stock by the similarities between the Issam Riqq and Gawharat El Fen Riqq. They even have the small piece of metal on the frame just like Issam's (the piece that has his name on it).

I wanted to share this video with. I was fortunate to meet this drummer in the desert in southern Tunis in a town called Duze. He plays the traditional style of drumming which is a cross over between Arabic and African. He really demonstrated some of the beauty of playing the Darabuka between the legs. I had a question on my mind, I answered it for my self, but I was hoping to know other peoples opinion. Is realizing same as understanding? does understanding come before realizing or the opposites? is there any thing at all like that, meaning realization and understanding?. I was hoping I might get some help finding any video recodring of any Afghanstani drummers playing the (Zarb Ghali) drum,the one looks like the persian Zarb.
