He keeps his weathered wings neatly folded
beneath the dark suit he wears to travel incognito
His silhouette is powerful and sometimes
a cloud like shadow crosses his beautiful face
He carries the suffering of his loved ones
deep within his heart to alleviate their pain
but when he smiles his nature is revealed
because the sky lights up with the sunrise
shining thorugh his heavenly eyes
in his presence my fears dissolve
and all the little things that mattered before
don't matter anymore
his touch sweeps me into a world of divine bliss
and I am left feeling only joy
He is an angel and no matter how many burdens he
carries or how far away from his home he travels
he will never fall into the shadow of darkness
because he belongs to the realm of light
