I was born in 1969 in the small town of Enkhuizen and at the age of 3 our family moved to a small village called Warmenhuizen where I spent my youth.
As a kid I was already attracted by the magic of music. When the rest of the family was watching the tv, I was sitting in the corner with my headphones listening to my dads recordcollection and my Kate Bush records.
At the age of 16, I started Djing for illegal radiostations, and later on in local disco’s and youthcenters playing everything from disco to new wave.
In 1989 I was cought by the electronic music virus when I first heard Stakker – Humanoid, that track changed my life forever.
With a group of friends we started to go to houseparties to dance, but soon I got more and more attracted by the wonderful sounds that DJ’s played in the chillout rooms.
After hearing Mixmaster Morris playing an amazing set in Amsterdam I knew I wanted to become a chillout dj too.
So I started to collect music from The Orb, System 7, Another Fine Day, Pete Namlook, FSOL, etc. and started playing for several organisations as Ambient Pierre. Being part of the Amsterdam DJ collective Clan of Speace I play in one of the best coffeeshops of Amsterdam, The Rokery, once or twice a month.
Together with my good friend Wouter, who is now known as psytrance artist Zen Mechanics,
we founded a party organisation named Cosmic Circus and we threw in and outdoor parties with national and international acts like Absolum and Shakta, and me hosting the chillout.
But we both had a dream. We wanted to create our own music. So, in 2001, we bought some gear and started to play with it.
Soon we decided to go separate ways because our musical styles were too different, but we’re still close friends.
So in 2003 Moravec was born. My first track has recently been released on the Interchill compilation "Bliminal" www.interchill.com
